Grab your lederhosen and a couple of your best Freunde and head to gorgeous Lake Arrowhead Village for the 38thannual Oktoberfest. Event admission is free. However, if you want to drink beer or wine (and we’re guessing that’s the main reason you would want to attend Oktoberfest) you must purchase a ceramic Oktoberfest mug ($20). This reasonable fee includes your first beer or wine ticket. Refills are just $8. Beer is sold in 16 oz servings, while wine is 6 oz. (Sorry wine lovers – beer drinkers always enjoy larger quantities of their beverage of choice!)
Lake Arrowhead Village, which features charming Alpine architecture, is the perfect environment for enjoying Oktoberfest. The festivities run every Saturday (noon until 7 p.m.) and Sunday (noon until 5 p.m.) from September 14th – October 27th. There’s plenty of free seating. But you also have the option of reserving a picnic table or pub table located in the first few rows near the stage. Table reservation is a great idea for groups. Lake Arrowhead Village is dog friendly. And Oktoberfest is no exception. Just don’t forget your leash and poop packs!
