While most of the country is digging out after the recent bomb cyclone, in Southern California, where Arrowhead Property Rental is located, the weather remains warm and bright. We have yet to face major snowstorms in 2018. But, even as we look ahead to snow play and other winter activities such as tobogganing, downhill skiing and snow-boarding, the first signs of spring have started to arrive on the mountain. Birds are singing and flowers are already starting to bloom. Not only is it a lovely sight to behold; it’s an invitation that it’s never too early to start planning your spring vacation.

Shopping & Dining
With fabulous shopping, eclectic dining and extraordinary entertainment, Lake Arrowhead is a beautiful resort location just about an hour or two from urban Los Angeles. Whether you prefer Mexican specialties at Papagyos, which features a patio taco bar, classic upscale cuisine at Woody’s Boathouse or breakfast and lunch favorites at Belgian Waffle Works, all boast a beautiful view of the lake and are steps from specialty shopping and outlet stores.
Shopping includes discount outlets like Coach, Bass and Wilson’s Leather and locally-owned shops, such as Heart’s Desire Christian Bookstore, Tattletales for Kids, one-of-a-kind clothing at Sondra’s Wild Sophistication and Alexandra’s Emporium
You don’t need to own a boat to sail around Lake Arrowhead. The Arrowhead Queen is a narrated tour of the area immediately surrounding Lake Arrowhead. Since Lake Arrowhead is a private lake, the Arrowhead Queen is a great ways for visitors to get a full tour of the lake, including historical information and information about celebrity houses in the area. Tickets for the Queen can be purchased at Leroy’s Board Shop on the waterfront in the village, near the Lake Arrowhead Queen dock. The Queen is also available for private party rentals.
Once owned by notorious gangster Bugsy Siegel, The Tudor House was the place the rich and famous went to enjoy gambling and liquor during Prohibition. Today, it’s a great place to eat a delicious meal, have a drink and watch a live show. The Tudor House is open for special events such as brunch, band showcases and dinner theater.
Known as Santa’s Home in the San Bernardino Mountains, Skypark at Santa’s Village also offers great family and couple fun even during Santa Clause’s downtimes. Open in the spring Thursdays through Sundays, the Skyforest attraction offers the wonder of nature as you enjoy biking, hiking, fishing, archery, zip-lining and mountain climbing. You can bring your own equipment or rent some to enjoy mountain biking in the professional bike park, if you are at least 10 years old or (if you’re younger) you are accompanied by an adult who is at least 18.
Nature lovers will enjoy the beautiful arboretum at Heaps Peak, located on Rim of the World Highway, just east of Skyforest. An easy half hour walk, which is great for kids as well as pets, the floral-lined loop is relaxing as well as beautiful. Not the first choice for professional mountain hikers, the walk is a great place to walk among the pines. Just make sure you purchase a National Parks Pass for $5. The trail opens at 10 a.m.
